21st Century Learning - How we define education in modern times

Hi everybody!

As time goes on, the world changes rapidly. Education, or what we need or expect from it rather, changes with it.

For a long time, the role of teachers were to dominate and be the most important participant in a class. The main tool teachers used was lecturing and that meant every student, however different they might be, was assumed to be on the same level of understanding and topics which couldn't be fully explained via lectures were neglected.

Society changed and we have different needs now, we expect different things from students and as future teachers the responsibility to change education for the better is mainly ours. We have to take many variables into consideration and remember that it's no longer enough to teach students, we have to teach them how to learn on their own as well.

Only education can change a society in a fast and good direction and by improving education we're investing in our future.
